The Classical Dance Competition by Genius Artist of India is a platform for all classical dancers. It celebrates the beauty of Indian dance and the hard work of every artist. Our goal is to bring dancers from all parts of the country to one stage.
India’s classical dances are full of culture and history. We want to keep these art forms alive. We also want young dancers to learn them and feel proud of their roots.
Participants can perform in many dance styles. These include Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Manipuri, Kathakali, and Sattriya.
The competition looks at skill, rhythm, grace, expression, and stage presence. Every dancer is welcome. You can be a trained artist, a student, or someone who simply loves classical dance. Genius Artist of India is more than a competition. It is a way to support dancers and help them grow. Winners receive certificates, respect, and new opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Participants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to all Indian citizens (children, youth, and adults).
- Solo, duet, and group performances are accepted.
- Any recognized classical dance form of India is eligible.
- Professional and non-professional dancers are welcome.
- Participants must follow costume and cultural authenticity guidelines.
All entries must be original performances created by the participant(s).
Classical Dance Forms
Participants can perform in any major Indian classical dance form, including:
- Bharatanatyam:- A dance of precision, storytelling, and expressive beauty.
- Kathak:- Known for intricate footwork, graceful spins, and emotive abhinaya.
- Kuchipudi:- A dynamic blend of rapid movements and dramatic presentation.
- Odissi:- Celebrated for its lyrical movements and sculptural postures.
- Kathakali:- A powerful dance-drama known for its bold expressions and elaborate costumes.
- Mohiniyattam:- A soft, feminine style filled with elegance and fluidity.
